Nah thank you. Series are something I hardly watch as I told you. :-)
I agree as I wrote that the movie was definitely entertaining with the big "but"-part. .

I agree it could have been better with a better script, but I think they got everything out of it that was there in the existing one. I have to see it again when it comes out on DVD or on TV and watch with an eye on the details.

I also agree on the Bringing-back-the-dead, though it can be very frustating for the fans, killing off beloved characters sometimes helps the story. Joss Whedon is the master in that category. I believe someone here needs to watch a few Firefly episodes and Serenity, eh Avrel :P

However, I was entertained and recommend it to comic fans :)

Yes, the scene after the credits was a surprise, but honestly I don't know whether I would like to see any other X-Man-movie. Three more (if it became a trilogy again) would definitely be too much.

About the movie itself: I found it rather disappointing although the special effects were great. I saw too much of a difference from the other movies (to the negative) and the Jean Grey part sucked a bit. I did not like this thing about Rogue either.
I also felt reminded of other movies, when I saw Magneto's strike force, but it was rather some end time movie I cannot even definitely name. I think it was even Waterworld or so. *lol*
The end scenes (the regular and the one after the credits) with the new opening were also not satisfying. Same with Jean Grey after the second movie. They should let things be sometimes. They left it open, okay, but they should leave it at that. Reversing things (like the thing Jean Grey's apparent death at the end of the second film) a second time same way gets boring and even more unbelievable (I think that's what I though about this movie. I knew it is fantasy, but still it became too unreal in this one).

Point is definitely that the character development came bit short in this movie (apart from Rogue and Jean Grey). Many new mutants are introduced and never really get any depth and those, who are already known from the other movies, don't get the development they'd deserve.

In my eyes the first movie was the best and then it decreased, although this movie was fun to watch due to the massive fireworks especially in the end...

Good movie
Great special effects
Good acting
Shite storyline

They went all out on the special effects, but special effects only go so far in order to conpensate for a substandard storyline.

Found it very disapointing, not because it was bad (which it wasnt) but because it could have been considerably better.
